Dear Family,
Saturday Mike and Rayanne hosted their Easter Egg Hunt at their Mapleton home which has been a yearly tradition. Rayanne has tons of plastic colored eggs and fills them with small candies. They hide them in their large backyard. There are rules: the toddlers get the lawn, little kids back a bit further in the ard and the older kids get the thorns and weeds of last years garden.
They pour out of the house at once and it is a conquering horde. The video clip shows these kids about to get a sugar high and out they run.
After a while their baskets are full. Here is Andrew, Anthony and Phillip with tons of eggs. Then they sit around and fill their baskets with the candies. Almost as much fun as Halloween.
In addition to preparing the Easter Eggs, Rayanne prepares a huge brunch. She made dozens of yummy bagels (sometime I will publish the recipe) There was tons of food for this brunch and it was so fun to see all the family there. Roy was there also with his family, Doug, Cathy, Becca, Emily and her family, Bina and her two as well and it was wall to wall family fun.
On the way home, I took two of Doug's kids and we managed to meet Roy and three of his boys met at Cabelas which is one of my favorite stores anywhere. Roy cashed in a gift certificate, the boys went wild at the laser shooting gallery. There wasn't a tent, hunting blind, cot, chair they did not try out. Here they are after I found them in a large tent taking it easy. Really fun.
It was a great Saturday. That night we had a dinner at our house for Doug and his family.
Slept well that night, Love, Dad and Mom
